- Fachausschuss II: Wärmewirtschaft, feuerfeste Baustoffe und Ofenbau (Heat economy, refractories and furnace design)
- Fachausschuss III: Verarbeitung des Glases von Hand und mit der Maschine (Glass processing by hand and with the machine)

Fachausschuss II: Wärmewirtschaft, feuerfeste Baustoffe und Ofenbau (Heat economy, refractories and furnace design) was merged with Fachausschuss III: Verarbeitung des Glases von Hand und mit der Maschine (Glass processing by hand and with the machine) due to increasing thematic overlaps to form the new Fachausschuss II "Glasschmelztechnologie" (Technology of Glass Melting).

The picture shows a step at the end of the manufacturing: the forming of the mouth rim. Sitting on the bench, the glassblower produces the mouth rim from the almost finished product with the glassblower’s scissors before it is taken from the punty and put into the pot arch for cooling down.
