ICG Second Summer School "Glass – the fourth state of matter?"
On the first day of the workshop a broad overview of key fundamentals in glass science and technology will be presented. Subsequently individual days will focus on the Glass Transition, Crystallisation and Glass Surfaces, and will in each case cover fundamentals, techniques and applications. The lectures will be presented by ten world experts from industry and academia. A significant aspect of the workshop will be a series of projects that encourage you to interact with other members of the group, and that help you to develop your understanding by applying what you have learned to specific issues.

Is this for you?
If you are a new PhD student or have recently started research in the glass industry then the answer is yes. The fee for the course will be no more than €250, including 2 coffee breaks/day and a 1 course dinner; 5 nights lodging with breakfast and 5 lunches in a student residence at the university will cost €200. Participants will be limited to 50.
