What is this about?
As part of the student team, you will be right at the heart of the conference. You will help ensure that presentations, poster sessions and the overall programme run smoothly – and at the same time gain valuable insights into the world of glass research and the glass industry.
The conference is organised in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC. Programme Chairs are Prof. Dr. Miriam Unterlass and Dr. Rick Niebergall, and the Conference President is Prof. Dr. Joachim Deubener, Vice President for Research, Transfer and Transformation at Clausthal University of Technology and President of the DGG.
What to expect
Your tasks are varied and place you close to the action:
- Supporting the registration and information desk
- Assisting in the lecture rooms together with the Session Chair
– collecting presentations and uploading them to the presenter laptop - Guiding participants around the venue
- Supporting key areas such as poster spaces and the photo box
No previous experience in event organisation is required – what matters most are reliability, friendliness and confidence in interacting with people.

Schedule
To ensure smooth collaboration and good preparation, your presence on all days is required:
- 1 June 2026: Briefing & setup (approx. 16:00–18:00)
- 2–3 June 2026: Full-day support during the conference
